Does “Paved paradise, put up a parking lot” ring a bell for you?
Joni Mitchell’s lyric will be remembered as a call to attention during the second wave of the ongoing environmental movement. I painted “Pave Paradise” 30”x40” in anticipation of my solo exhibition intended to educate and encourage the public to plant native plants.
“Pave Paradise“ has now been juried into the Anthropocene-themed exhibition at QuestArt. Interesting to note is that the Edward Burtynsky Anthropocene exhibition at the AGO gave me the inspiration to mount the multimedia exhibition which of course was consequently cancelled for Covid-19.

“2020 TD Thor Wealth Management Juried Exhibition: Quest for the Environment” exhibition was open to artists across Canada to bring quality artwork to the central Ontario area.
